Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Krav Maga and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.

Mark Cox (7th Dan-Tang Soo Do/ 2nd Dan-Krav Maga)

Mr. Cox is the owner of America's Best Chatsworth Karate school and America's Best Krav Maga in Simi Valley and Moorpark. He has a 7th degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, 2nd degree Black Belt in Krav Maga and holds a Black Belt in Hap Ki Do. He is a expert certified Krav Maga instructor and a Deputy Sheriff. You can learn more about him under our master. Mr. Cox is a family man with four children 3 boys and a little girl. He loves his community and the youth. He strives to build tommorows leaders. His school has made an impact on 1000's of students here in the valley.

Jay Walker (Certified Krav Maga Instructor)

Jay Walker is the head instructor at our Moorpark Krav Maga location. Jay has devoted most of his life to training, instructing and competing in various forms of martial arts. His interest started at a young age after watching Kung Fu, Bruce Lee movies, and Billy Jack as a young boy. He was unable to start his training until he was 16 due to asthma and other childhood illnesses and has never looked back. Jay was fortunate enough to use his passion as a way to work his way through college training local, national and world champions from fighters both amateur and professional. "Breaking Barriers to Build Brighter Futures" was the back bone of his teaching style. "Everyone has a reason to join a martial art program whether it is for self protection, confidence, fitness or a drive to compete. It is up to the instructor to help each student to reach their full potential and goals." Before relocating to the Los Angeles area, Jay became interested in Krav Maga and wanted to find an organization and school in his area that matches his beliefs, drive, and passion. After extensive research he found Burbank Krav Maga and after one class, he was hooked. "Burbank Krav Maga and all the affiliate schools of the American Krav Maga Federation share the same vision. No egos, family first, and get home safe" states Jay. Now he shares his instruction as well for Burbank Krav Maga and America's Best Moorpark Krav Maga.
